Oprah and the Culture of Lies

Tom Scocca has a piece in the New York Observer about the liar James Frey, and attempts by his publisher, Larry King and Oprah Winfrey to justify his falsehoods. The "it feels like the truth" argument seems to be the justification used by folks, as if there's no difference between perception and reality. Scocca goes on to suggest that this truthiness may be part of the larger culture of lies embraced by the White House and others.
