Kobayashi Loses Hot Dog Title
American Joey Chestnut won this year's annual hot dog eating contest at Nathan's on Coney Island, setting a new record by eating 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes. He beat long standing champion Takeru Kobayashi, who was only able to down 63 dogs.

i really thought kobayashi was going to pull it off. he actually passed chestnut for a split second at around 60 hot dogs , then it just got too much for him. even if he wouldn't have vomitted he probably would have lost by a quarter or half a hot dog. but i still think kobayashi has the best pacing/speed .. if only he can learn to handle the extra couple hotdogs in his smaller body by next year i think he can come back and reclaim the title. i dont see it going past the 60's though next year.
