RIP Howard Larman

Folk Music and Public Radio have lost a true champion. Howard Larman passed away over the weekend. I've known the Larmans for decades and know the passion Howard had for both music and public radio. He has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration. His wife Roz and sound engineer Peter Cutler will continue to broadcast Folkscene. I know Howard wouldn't want it any other way.

Pilot's Potty Mouth Grounds Flight

Northwest Airlines canceled a flight from Las Vegas to Detroit because of "rude language" used by the captain. The cursing reportedly happened during passenger boarding while the pilot was talking on a cell phone. He exited the cockpit and locked himself in the plane's bathroom, where passengers could still hear his coarse language.
When the captain emerged from the bathroom, a passenger confronted him about his behavior, reportedly prompting more cursing by the pilot of the B757 aircraft.

Don Bolles Gets Soaped!

Bolles insisted the soap was only soap. "I've been using Dr. Bronner's for 35 years," he said Tuesday, adding that the organic ingredients help give him the complexion of a 15-year-old girl.
