Proposed Ban on Truck Testicles

Maryland Delegate LeRoy E. Myers Jr. has filed legislation to ban the display of those oh-so-chic Truck Nuts and "anatomically correct" human or animal genitalia.
"People are making a joke out of it," Myers said yesterday. "But I think it's a pretty serious problem. You have body parts hanging from the hitches of cars. We've crossed a line."

Sheen Bros are a Bit Sensitive

It seems Charlie Sheen and his big brother Emilio Estevez aren't too happy with recent remarks by Susan King in the L.A. Times. King wrote "Charlie Sheen took brotherly love to a new level of hokum when introducing the clip of sibling Emilio Estevez's overly hyped 'Bobby' on the Golden Globes." The brothers apparently decided to write back.
Hey Sad Susan - It must suck watching people do things you can only fantasize about. To spend your entire life watching the other kids play, knowing deep in your heart your parents LIED to you when they promised, "You can be whatever you want, if you just follow your dreams." Oh well, try and enjoy your daily nightmare

Britney Meltdown Weekend?

With word out now that Britney Spears is sporting a new bald look after ditching rehab, I can't help but wonder if she's destined to fill the void left by Anna.

Consumerist: "We are a jerkface"

It seems the Consumerist blog has been using Flickr photos without the permission of the photographers. The disrespectful reasoning given for doing this was less than warm and fuzzy. Needless to say, this has angered many Flickr users. Now Consumerist has apologized and promises to do The Right Thing in the future. Let's hope so.

Just short of her 16th birthday, my beautiful old girl Tush died this morning, a few inches away from the spot where she was born. I knew it was going to happen for a while, and she actually lasted a lot longer than I thought she would. There is solace in that the end came peacefully. She will be missed deeply.

Cancer Society Rejects Strippers' Money

The Breast Cancer Society of Canada has reportedly declined any money raised from this year's annual charity event by Exotic Dancers for Cancer. Last year's event raised $6000. But this year the dancers were told their money is not welcome.
"I really feel that it's a strong indication of the degree of the stigma that exotic dancers experience when an organization doesn't even want to be associated with them for fear of experiencing the same stigma."

According to this article from last year, it's not the first time the event organizers have faced this situation.
"A prominent cancer organization outright declined our offer without an explanation. The hospice that Jocelyne had stayed in said they were willing to accept the donation, and would put a plaque on their wall saying where it came from, but they did not want their name mentioned in any of our promotions or media relations because they are owned by three churches."

The Hoohah Monologues

A theater in Atlantic Beach, Florida altered its marquee to say it is presenting The HooHaa Monologues instead of using the famous play's true title, The Vagina Monologues. The theater did this after receiving a complaint from passing motorist, who was upset that her neice asked about it.
"I'm on the phone and asked 'What did you tell her?' She's like, 'I'm offended I had to answer the question'"
